GREENVILLE , IL – The Greenville College Choir will
perform its' home concert at Greenville Free Methodist Church ( 1367
East State Route 140) on Sunday, March 26 at 4:00 p.m. This year's
program, entitled “The Journey,” features a variety of selections
including American hymn arrangements, Psalm settings from the European
Renaissance, and contemporary songs from Africa .
The 42-voice Choir has just returned from a 10-day tour of Illinois,
Wisconsin, Iowa and Missouri where they sang in a number of high
schools and churches, including the Basilica Cathedral of St. Louis.
The Greenville College Chamber Singers, which was invited to sing at
the Illinois Music Educators Association All-State Conference in Peoria
this past January, will also perform. Dr. Jeffrey Wilson, Director of
Choral Studies at Greenville College, will conduct the concert. Nursery
care will be provided and a free-will offering will be taken to assist
with the choir's touring expenses.

is a four-year accredited Christian liberal arts school with more than
1,200 traditional undergraduate, graduate, and adult degree completion
students. Founded in 1892 and affiliated with the Free Methodist
Church, the college is located in Greenville, Ill., 45 miles east of
St. Louis.
