FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 3/7/06

GREENVILLE, IL - The Greenville College Choir will be taking a 10-day tour of Kansas, Texas, Louisiana and Missouri this month where they will sing in a number of high schools and churches, including the Basilica Cathedral of St. Louis. This past January the College Choir and the Chamber Singers served as choir-in-residence at the Calvin Symposium on Worship, an international conference which included over 1,500 participants from 35 different countries.

The 46-voice Choir will perform its home concert at the Greenville Free Methodist Church (1367 East State Route 140) on Sunday, March 25 at 4:00 p.m. This year's program, entitled "Come Away to the Skies," features a variety of selections including pieces from Sweden, Russia, Lithuania and Zimbabwe as well as arrangements of American hymns and spiritual and gospel music.

Dr. Jeffrey Wilson, Director of Choral Studies at Greenville College, is the conductor of both the Choir and the Chamber Singers. Nursery care will be provided at the home concert and a free-will offering will be taken to assist with the Choir's touring expenses.
