Greenville College Posts Fall Enrollment Figures
Graduate and Undergraduate Teacher Education Programs Continue to Grow
GREENVILLE,
ILL. – Greenville College posted enrollment figures today with a total
of 1350 students registered for the fall semester.
Vice
President of Enrollment Dr. Pepper Dill comments on this year's total
enrollment, “We are very pleased about the positive growth we've
experienced this fall and the excitement and energy that creates
throughout the Greenville College community. To be up more than 40
students over last fall is the result of a lot of good work done by a
lot of great people,” said Dr. Pepper.
Making up
the total are 917 traditional students, 241 GOAL students (the
college's degree completion program), 114 students in graduate teacher
education programs, and 20 LAMP students, the college's Mast of Arts in
leadership and ministry and 58 students in the Undergraduate Teacher
Education Program (UTEP).
A new program, UTEP
allows students who receive the first two years of their education from
their local community college to finish their last two years with
Greenville College. The last two years of their instruction, while
provided by Greenville College, take place at community college
satellite campuses. Students receive their bachelor's degree and
teaching certificate from Greenville College. The program has created
partnerships with area community colleges including Kaskaskia and Lewis
and Clark Community Colleges.
Greenville College
is a four-year accredited Christian liberal arts school with more than
1300 traditional undergraduate, graduate, and adult degree completion
students. Founded in 1892 and affiliated with the Free Methodist
Church, the college is located in Greenville, Illinois, 45 miles east
of St. Louis.
