FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 09/07/07
GREENVILLE, ILL. – Greenville College was ranked one of the best Baccalaureate schools in the Midwest region in the annual U.S. News report on America’s best colleges. The college was listed number 26, sharing a list with schools like McKendree University and Eureka College.
Increased growth over the past several years attracted national media attention from NBC’s TODAY Show last December and drove several building projects, including renovation of an old residence hall and the construction of a new one, to accommodate the new students.
The report from U.S. News is compiled from surveys sent to college administrators. Information about enrollment, retention, and class environment all contribute to a school’s ranking. Each participating school is also peer reviewed by other institutions in their tier.
Greenville College is a four-year accredited Christian liberal arts school with more than 1450 traditional undergraduate, graduate, and adult degree completion students. Founded in 1892 and affiliated with the Free Methodist Church, the college is located in Greenville, Illinois, 45 miles east of St. Louis.
