The Greenville College Management Department won the First Annual St. Louis Collegiate Investment Management Contest and a $10,000 prize, topping second place St. Louis University. Dr. Larry Sayler teaches Greenville College's investment class and oversaw the selection of the winning portfolio. The portfolio of stocks selected by Greenville College was up just over 40% during the 28 month contest. During this time the S&P 500 increased 26%, and the portfolios of the other contestants increased an average of just 17%.

Kaskaskia College President Dr. James Underwood announced that
Greenville College was the recipient of the 2007 Kaskaskia College
Partnership of the Year Award.
- Dr. Richard Huston, head of the
History/Political Science Department, was awarded his third Fulbright
Award, the U.S. Scholar Fulbright. In February 2008, he will begin
lecturing on social studies teaching methods and history research
methods at the University of Central America in Managua, Nicaragua.
- Greenville College, facing a confluence of growth from academic
programs and students, restructured the existing system of academic
divisions and departments into three schools: the School of Education,
the School of Professional Studies and the School of Arts and Sciences.
