Dear GC Alumni and Friends,
The Alumni Office is pleased to announce that, shortly after the new year, we will launch our new online community! In a continued effort to improve how we connect with you, and how you connect with each other, we are moving to a new site run by a different provider. We expect the new community will be more user-friendly and efficient, while at the same time providing you with better content and more connection tools.
What does this mean for the current site? Well, on December 31, 2007, the current community will cease operating. As a result, any of the pictures and other non-contact personal information you have stored in your profile will also be inaccessible. We had hoped to pre-load all of this content for you on the new site, but it was technically impossible to do and we greatly apologize for that inconvenience. So, we encourage you to save that information elsewhere so you can load it onto your profile at the new site once it's up and running. Rest assured, however, that GC will have retained a copy of all notes and updates for our records, so that will not be lost. All of your contact and basic profile information will be pre-loaded on the new site for you as well.
Please be looking for follow-up emails in the near future containing additional details about the new online community, as well as new registration information and instructions. We hope to make this transition as seamless and painless as possible and we ask for your patience during the switch. In the end, we strongly believe the new community will be well worth the slight inconvenience.
