POSITION DESCRIPTION: Full-time position as registrar for Greenville College, beginning June 1, 2008.  

QUALIFICATIONS:  The successful candidate must demonstrate strong organizational skills, an ability to work precisely and accurately with detailed information, an ability to handle confidential information responsibly, and warm interpersonal skills.  Candidates must be thoroughly familiar with the academic environment of a small college and committed to serving students and faculty within a community of Christian scholarship.  A vibrant personal Christian faith commitment is required.  Strong computer skills are required.  Three to five years of experience as a registrar, assistant registrar, or other academic administrator is strongly desired.  Master’s or doctoral degree is desirable. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: The registrar is charged with maintaining accurate and up-to-date academic records for all current and previously enrolled students, and providing these records for appropriate parties as required.  The person who fills this position must ensure that enrollment, course registration, approval of transfer credit, and approval for graduation all proceed in a timely, orderly, and accurate fashion.  The registrar helps shape academic and admissions policies and serves on various faculty committees.  This person will report to the vice president for academic affairs and work with school deans.  This position oversees the work of two assistant registrars and a support staff.
