Greenville College to Host Producer Brown Bannister
GREENVILLE
, ILL. – Producer Brown Bannister will speak at Greenville College
Thursday, December 2 nd at 6:30 pm in LaDue Auditorium.
In
his early years as a producer, Brown's work with Amy Grant helped
define the early sounds of Contemporary Christian music. As the
industry matured, so did Brown's vision for Grant, which ultimately
lead to her phenomenal success. Brown has been instrumental in Amy's
mainstream success as well, including producing her smash pop hit
“Every Heartbeat.”
Brown's production also
includes such artists as Steve Wariner, Point of Grace, CeCe Winans,
and Avalon. Brown created milestone recordings for Twila Paris, Kathy
Troccoli, Susan Ashton, Rachael Lampa, and Steven Curtis Chapman.
Brown's
honors include 13 Grammy Awards from the National Academy of Recording
Arts and Sciences, as well as multiple Dove Awards from the Gospel
Music Association. Brown has also been named as GMA's Producer of the
Year for 1998, 2000, and 2001.
Greenville College
is a four-year accredited Christian liberal arts school with more than
1300 traditional undergraduate, graduate, and adult degree completion
students. Founded in 1892 and affiliated with the Free Methodist
Church , the college is located in Greenville , Illinois , 45 miles
east of St. Louis .
