Greenville College invites all students eligible to receive the President's Scholarship, Dean's Scholarship, or Transfer Scholarship as well as their parents, to be our guests on campus for an exclusive all-access Scholarship Award Day. You will be able to experience first hand the academic, spiritual, and social distinctiveness of the Greenville College transformational process.

Schedule for the day

The Scholarship Award Day will begin with continental breakfast Check-In at 8am (we'll have coffee and donuts) and conclude with the Departmental Showcase at 2:15pm. We also offer an optional campus tour after the Departmental Showcase that goes until 3:30pm.

We will provide two tracks for the day—one for parents and one for students.

Parent Track

• GC Academic Life: Added Value – What are the faculty at Greenville College like? What kind of people will be teaching your students? What's the real value of a GC education? You will see how seriously we take the academic life at Greenville College, and how intentional we are about making sure that the education we provide is excellent. • GC Student Life: Added Value – Did you realize that nearly 80% of a student's time in college will be spent outside the classroom? In this session, you'll learn about how seriously we take the environment here at GC—from the residence halls to Chapel and student government to other service opportunities. • Financial Aid Seminar – You'll get some time with the Office of Financial Aid. They will explain Greenville College's financial aid process, as well as some government regulations that can sometimes be confusing. Rest assured that our entire Financial Aid staff will be at your service to do everything we can to make sure that the Greenville College experience is possible for you and your student. • GC Student Life: Beyond the Classroom – Listen to some of our top students talk about their experiences both in the classroom and outside the classroom (what we call the co-curriculum). • StrengthsFinder® Instrument – At Greenville College , we strive to help each student develop their strengths. Usually, new students have to wait until classes start in the fall to take the Gallup StrengthsFinder®, but we're offering it to you early! Because you're on campus for this special event, we'll give you a jump on everyone else and help you identify your top strengths now! You'll leave this session knowing your top 5 strengths and a good idea about how you'll be able to leverage them both inside and outside the classroom. • GC Community: Added Value – You'll learn about the town of Greenville and the community that we've nurtured here on campus. • Departmental Showcase – This is the “crown jewel” of the Scholarship Award Day! Academic Departments from across campus will be available so that you can hear directly from faculty and current students about our majors and programs of study. You'll be able to take a look at our facilities and have real face-to-face time with the people who make Greenville really special—our faculty.
