Each year a number of students are hired by Greenville College
through the student employment program. Most student employment
is subsidized by the Federal College Work Study Program, although
a limited number of employment positions are provided to students
who do not qualify for federal funds. Most of these limited funds
are provided to international students or returning students. Priority
consideration for student employment placement is given to those
with Federal Work-Study eligibility.
Student wages for hours worked are paid by check twice a month.
The student is responsible to secure the job and work the contracted
hours before a paycheck is issued.
The types of jobs usually available through the student employment
program are custodial, maintenance, dining commons assistants, laboratory
assistance, library aides, and secretarial positions. Student employment
applications are available upon request from the Office of Student
Development. Students are responsible for securing employment through
direct contact with departments on campus. A jobs board with postings
of available jobs is located in the Office of Student Development.
A limited number of off-campus positions are available in the community
each year through the Federal Work-Study program. Additional information
about off-campus employment is available through the Office of Career
Services or the Office of Student Development.
As an equal opportunity employer, the college will employ students
without regard to race, color, creed, gender, or national origin.
