Katie Snyder Mckinney '01 - Medical Student,
Medical College of Ohio
At this point in time, Katie is a first year medical student
at Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. Although she is studying
very hard to learn all the information that is presented, she
have been completely prepared thus far for all of her classes.
Her classmates come from other universities and colleges across
the country and although she was a bit intimidated to be coming
from a small undergraduate school, she has found that she is
just as prepared, if not more prepared than some, for medical
school.
"I feel that Greenville’s chemistry and biology
departments offer an educational experience whose strength
lies in personal contact with faculty members who care about
their students. Right now, I attend lectures with 145 other
people and feel blessed to have had the opportunity at Greenville
to experience the benefits of smaller class sizes. In addition,
it was wonderful to attend a school (Greenville, of course!)
in which cooperation and encouragement, instead of competition,
characterized my relationships with my classmates."
