Dr. Sharon Grimes
Assistant Professor of Art and Curator/Director of the Richard W. Bock Sculpture Museum,
Greenville College, Greenville, Illinois. Dr. Grimes' specialties are
art history and the issue of gender as it relates to American
architects and architecture. She will be teaching the online course in
Irish arts.
Dr. Donna Hart
Professor of English, Greenville College. Dr. Hart's specialties are
medieval and Renaissance British literature. But a surprising
proportion of “British” literature is actually “Irish” literature, so
Dr. Hart has taught Irish literature for many years and has taken 3
groups of students on January Interterm trips to Ireland. She will be
the State-side Program Co-Coordinator and will be teaching the course
in Irish literature.
Dr. William Hart
Full-time Adjunct Professor of English, McKendree College, Lebanon,
Illinois. As well as literature, Dr. Hart's specialties are American
studies, world history, and Irish history. He will be teaching the
course in Irish history.
Professor Anthony Johnston
Professor Johnston directs the Irish Studies Centre at Inch House in
Donegal and is an Online Instructor in Global Business at the Isenberg
School of Management, University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Professor
Johnston will be the Ireland-side Program Co-Coordinator. He is Senior
Lecturer Emeritus of Magee College's School of Commerce and
International Business, University of Ulster, Derry, Northern Ireland.
Dr. James Tallon, Professor Emeritus
Department of Sociology and Anthropology, St. Olaf College, Northfield,
Minnesota. His interests include post-colonial social change and
conflict in modern Ireland. He has taken more than 15 groups of
students to Ireland for January Interterm study. He will be teaching
the course in Sociology of Modern Ireland.
