"The study of Judaism has changed and affected my understanding of
Christianity more than any other medium. It unlocks some of the
very essential questions of the faith because it gives us the lenses
through which to understand Christ in his context. When I think of my
faith journey, it now includes the faith journeys of the fathers of the
faith: Abroham, Moses, Elijah, Isaiah and David."

"My
respect for Judaism doesn't come from a longing to be Jewish, but
simply to honor it as a sacred part of my own beliefs. In my studies I
have seen how incredible it is when God moves through a culture/people
and when they passionately follow and wrestle with God. It has
placed flesh around the idea of Jesus the Christ, and by choosing to be
a part of the Christian tradition, I must recognize that this flesh was
Jewish and not Christian"

"I desire for
our students the many faith insights that I have experienced from my
personal study of the Hebrew worldview. Specifically, by studying
Judaism, they may learn to value community over individualism; to
celebrate life more fully; to see people as righteous and
not-yet-righteous; ...and to understand that life itself is all about
relationships."
