The Greenville College Foundation, established in 1991, has been under review by a Trustee task force. Following the task force recommendation for restructuring, the Board approved a motion to establish the Greenville College Foundation as a separate entity effective July 1, 1999.

The Greenville College Foundation serves to facilitate the stewardship, distribution and reporting of temporarily and permanently restricted gifts received by the College. These include monies received for endowed scholarships, non-endowed scholarships, other endowed funds, designated funds, grants and bequests.

A Board of Directors, separate from the Greenville College Board of Trustees, has been organized to establish policy and advice in operations. The Foundation Board consists of the following members: Anne Maloney, Chair; Kevin Ganton, Vice Chair; David A. Hoag, CEO/Secretary; Jerry Wall, Treasurer; V. James Mannoia, Jr., College President; Michael Coling; Duane Flowers; Sheila Foxworthy; Jerry Hood; Ed McMillan; Donald Wolf; and Rick Reider.

Unrestricted gifts will continue to be handled by the college in the usual manner. Only restricted gifts, estate gifts, endowed and special gifts will go through the foundation to be forwarded to The Free Methodist Foundation/King Trust Company for investment management.

The foundation is supported by the college and operates under the direction of David Hoag, vice president for College Advancement. Andrea Thies, Director of Accounting, assists in the foundation's daily operations. All income generated by the foundation through fund raising and investments is distributed to the college.
