Campus Email System
You will be given an "@panthers.greenville.edu" email address within
your first week on campus. You will be able to check your campus
email account from any computer on campus and have web-based access
as well.
Choir Audition Process
GC Choir Auditions will take place during Orientation Weekend and
the first week or so of classes. You do not have to bring any prepared
piece to perform. You will go through some vocal exercises to determine
your vocal range and color and then will be asked to sight sing a short
piece. You may sign up for an audition time under the Welcome Tent
during Orientation Weekend.
Parking
Any Greenville College student who purchases a parking permit may bring
a car to campus. A parking pass costs $50 and can be purchased on
Saturday, August 25th, when you go through the registration process.
You can also take the cost of the parking pass into account when you
fill out the Budget and Payment Option Worksheet. Freshmen are required
to park in the parking lot southeast of the new Music Center. Students
entering into the sophomore class (with 30+ credits) will be issued a
regular student parking pass, which allows them to park in any
non-visitor lot on campus.
More
Information...
Student Insurance
Every Greenville College student is required to have health insurance.
If you already have insurance through a parent, then you do not need to
participate in our student plan. If you are not already covered, then
you must participate. The estimated cost for the 2007-08 school year is
$556. This cost may be taken into consideration when filling out your
Budget and Payment Option Worksheet.
Buying Books
You may purchase your books from the Greenville Christian Bookstore
on campus during Orientation Weekend. You must bring a copy of your
class schedule with you when you purchase your books. Because each
student has an individualized schedule, it is impossible to give
an exact price for your books at this point. Most students spend
around $200 each semester, but sometimes it could be as much as
$500 each semester, depending on your classes.
Parent's Weekend Information - New Dates for
2008
October 24-26, 2008 is Homecoming & Parent's Weekend. Many alumni
and parents come to campus to attend special events and sports
competitions (the Saturday night homecoming football game is quickly
becoming a favorite GC tradition!). The weekend schedule is flexible to
allow parents time to spend with their son or daughter.
