Over the course of your time at Greenville College, you must earn
126 total college credits before you are eligible to graduate. Because
many of the majors and programs of study at Greenville College do not
take up all 126 credit hours with classes specifically required for the
major or general education, many students are able to fit in a number
of elective courses over their college experience.
The most common elective courses are the large music ensembles like the GC
Choir and the Concert Band. Some elective courses might also fulfill a
general education requirement. Feel free to browse through the full
list of courses offered this fall and list any electives that sound
interesting.

You are not required to register for any elective courses during your first
semester at GC, so if this doesn’t sound interesting to you, then just
leave that section blank on your Class Registration Worksheet.
Note: Many courses numbered 200 and above have prerequisites—other required
classes that must be completed before you can enroll in a specific
class—so please limit your selections to courses numbered in the 100’s.
If you have any questions, please contact your admissions counselor.
