The dining room of the Armington Center was filled to capacity on Saturday, April 8, as Greenville
College hosted its 12th Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet. The 2006 inductees included the 1987 volleyball team, Judith (Arnold) Fritz ’74, Johnny E. Branch, Jr. ’91, W. Richard Stephens, Jr. ’77, and Roy E. Yarbrough ’70. Julie (Kaufmann ’04) Shultz and Beau A. Meredith ’04 were co-recipients of the 2006 Order of the Orange and Black.

    The program featured special video presentations on each inductee, written and narrated by Dr. Daniel Jensen, professor emeritus of History and Political Science. The banquet, which costs approximately $10,000 to fund, was financed by the generous donations of over 40 alumni and friends of Greenville College. Alan Gaffner ’76 served as the banquet’s emcee. Selections for the next Hall of Fame banquet will occur in April 2007. The 13th banquet is slated for April 2008.
