Softball Coach Brian Reinhard Selected as SLIAC Coach of the Year

The efforts of head softball coach Brian Reinhard were rewarded in May, as he was chosen by conference head coaches as the 2005 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Softball Coach of the Year.

In four years as head softball coach, Reinhard has overseen the steady improvement of the program, taking the team from seven wins in his first year to 16 in 2005. Last season, the squad placed fourth in the SLIAC, awarding them a position in the four-team postseason tournament where they finished fourth.

The team also qualified for their first appearance in the NCCAA postseason regional tournament in eight seasons.

With just two graduating seniors of 18 players on the 2005 team, the program looks forward to continued success in the seasons ahead.
