THE RECORD - Fall 05 - Dr. Wesley SmithDr. Wesley Smith delivers and distributes Bibles in China with Full Life Crusade. Over the years, their teams have traveled to China twice a year with Bibles. Smith has personally led 125 mission trips abroad. Sixty of these trips were to China and their main purpose was to deliver the scriptures to the hungry Chinese believers. G.E. Colpitts '76 won tenure last year at Judson College, where she is an associate professor of art and design. She is also the chair of the department of art and design. David Holsted '76 , a staff reporter for Sauk Valley newspapers in Sterling, Illinois, wrote a features story about a goose that thinks she is a cow. The story was picked up by the state and national Associated Press and it appeared in newspapers around the country. THE RECORD - Fall 05 - Larry MooreLarry Moore, an accomplished composer and arranger, has been commissioned to provide several arrangements for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Vondria also performed the role of Almira Blanchard Morse, benefactress of Almira College, in Dan Jensen's dramatic adaptation of Mary Tenney's Still Abides the Memory. THE RECORD - Fall 05 - Yvi MartinYvi accepted an offer last fall to be the Humanitarian Aid Coordinator for Children's Hope International Foundation (CHIF) in St. Louis. CHIF is the foundation arm of CHI, an international adoption agency that places over 800 children from China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, India and Guatemala. She is in charge of collecting and distributing over one million dollars to projects in those countries for orphans still waiting for their permanent families. THE RECORD - Fall 05 - Dave RuebhausenA 2001 GOAL graduate and chief of police in Granite City, is moving to Belleville as the assistant chief of police and will be promoted to chief next year when the current chief retires. Ruebhausen has been chief of the Granite City Police Department since 1994. In 1985, the former U.S. Attorney General Ed Meese awarded Ruebhausen the Medal of Valor.
