"Walk it off, Becca!", Softball advances in SLIAC tourney

ELSAH, Ill. -- The softball team got a game-winning two run home run by Becca Oldham in the bottom of the seventh as Greenville erased a 5-3 deficit in the inning and advanced to a showdown with Fontbonne on Friday with a 6-5 win over MacMurray.
The Lady Panthers fell behind 2-0 in the top of the second but got one run in the bottom of the inning when Anaya Tobiason hit a ball that the catcher misplayed and allowed Jessica Laubecher to score.
Greenville took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the fourth with a two-run double by Endia Wilson.
MacMurray quickly regained a 4-3 advantage in the top of the fifth and added a run in the top of the seventh to set the stage for Oldham's heroics.
The Greenville half of the seventh inning started with a double by Bryn McKie. McKie advanced to third on a fly ball by Andrea Martin and scored the first run of the inning on a sacrifice fly by Tiffany Samsoe.
Laubecher doubled prior to Oldham's game-winning homer.
The Lady Panthers (23-15) will face Fontbonne on Friday at 6 p.m.
