40th Annual Greenville Choral Festival

On Thursday, February 4, over 180 area high school students representing 10 different high schools, their 40th Annual Greenville Choral Festivalchoir directors and family members joined us on campus for the 40th Annual Greenville Choral Festival. The schedule for the day gave students ample time to enjoy their time on campus, along with various rehearsals and performances.

Among the schools participating in the event were Bond County Community Unit 2 High School, Brownstown High School, Collinsville Christian Academy, Edwardsville High School, Marshall High School, Metro East Lutheran High School of Edwardsville, Nokomis High School, Pana High School, Ramsey High School and Vandalia High School.

40th Annual Greenville Choral FestivalAside from the regular schedule, high school vocal students were also given the opportunity to audition and receive critiques from Greenville College music faculty. A total of 34 students sang for the judges. The top four finishers had featured solos in the evening program.

The primary performances included an informal concert in the afternoon that highlighted the guest high school choirs and Greenville College Chamber Singers. The final performance was the Festival Finale Concert, which featured the Greenville College Choir, Vocal Solo Competition Winners and the High School Festival participating.
