45th Annual Panther 5k Road Race Scheduled for October 20

Runners, mark your calendars. RaceMaker Productions will bring the Panther 5K Road Race to Greenville College on October 20 as part of Homecoming Weekend. The race will feature professional chip timing. It begins at 8:00 a.m. on College Avenue near Spruce Street.

Children seven years and younger are invited to join the Greenville College panther mascot in the Children'sFun Run on Scott Field at 8:45 a.m. Children ages 8-12 will take their speed to the street at 9:00 a.m. in a new one-mile event, the College Avenue Dash.

The fee for each Panther 5K participant registering before October 9 is $15. These early registrants will receive long-sleeved road-race t-shirts and gift bags. The fee for participants registering on or after October 9 is $20. They will receive shirts and gift bags while supplies last. The Children's Fun Run and College Avenue Dash are free. The first 30 registrants in each event will receive t-shirts; others will receive t-shirts while supplies last.

Online registrations will be received until 11:59 p.m (CST), Wednesday, October 17. Race participants may also register in person on race day. Registration opens at 6:45 a.m. on Hogue Hall Lawn just off College Avenue.
