Men's Soccer nipped by Webster

The men's soccer team dropped their final home match of the season in controversial fashion as Webster was awarded a penalty kick that they converted in the contest's 12th minute. Prior to the game, the men's soccer program honored graduating seniors Ben Linder, Thomas Crown, Spencer Pulliam, and Jordan York.

The men's soccer team routed Iowa Wesleyan on Saturday, taking a 9-0 Homecoming win. Nine Panthers scored in the contest. Jordan York's goal seven seconds into the game was the fastest goal scored in Greenville College men's soccer history, bettering the nine second mark set by Dan Snyder in 1977 against Rose-Hulman.

The women's soccer team rolled on Saturday, taking an 8-0 Homecoming victory over Iowa Wesleyan. The Lady Panthers scored three times in the first half and five in the second. Senior Kieley Leach produced two goals and one assist.

The football team erased a 14 point first quarter deficit and took a 24-20 halftime lead before outscoring Iowa Wesleyan 28-12 in the second half for a 52-32 victory. Jacob Battaglia completed six-of-11 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown while rushing 17 times for 132 yards and two touchdowns.

The volleyball team treated their Homecoming crowd to a closely contested match as the Panthers won in four sets on Friday night. Freshman Allyson Mitchell produced 18 points for Greenville in the win on 16 kills and two service aces.

Children and their parents are invited to trick-or-treat at Greenville College on a tour that leads through several residence halls and ends with a small carnival. Participating residence halls will be open for trick-or-treating on Friday, October 31 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
