Football uses final minute touchdown to top Eureka

The football team improved their first place conference mark with a 30-27 win over Eureka on Saturday. Nathan Callaway ran for over 150 yards, and John Dudley caught a five yard pass from Eric Northey with 13 seconds remaining for the winning score.

The women’s soccer team pushed Elmhurst to overtime Saturday but relinquished the game winning goal with four minutes remaining in the first overtime as they dropped the contest 2-1. Kieley Leach had Greenville’s goal.

The volleyball team kept their perfect conference record alive with two wins on Saturday at MacMurray. Greenville defeated conference rival Webster in five sets in the day’s first match before sweeping Blackburn in three sets.

After starting the season with a loss, the football team did not let the sour taste linger for long as they came up with a 44-9 win at Minnesota – Morris on Saturday. Quarterback Eric Northey accounted for four touchdowns, two rushing and two passing, in the win.
