The baseball team struggled in the opening game of a three-game weekend series against Washington University as the Bears defeated them 11-1 in a game shortened to seven innings. Tim Osborne provided the lone bright spot for the Panthers as he knocked his team-high eighth home run of the season.

The historic season of the Greenville softball team continued Tuesday as it picked up a key doubleheader sweep over Rose-Hulman. The women were led by the performance of senior Ashley Woodrome as she hurled two complete game victories. The Lady Panthers won the first 2-1 and the second game 1-0.
