Robert Stroud Receives Servant Leadership Award
On Friday, May 24, more than 160 alumni and friends of Greenville College applauded Robert Stroud, member of the Class of 1959, as he received the John and Shirley Minshall Servant Leadership Award.
Chris Swift Hired as Head Men's Soccer Coach
Greenville College has announced the hiring of its next head men's soccer coach. Following the April resignation of Bobby McColl, Chris Swift, a native of southern California, will assume the reigns of Greenville's three-time NCAA national tournament participant men's soccer program.
Robbie Schomaker Assumes Position of Interim Head Football Coach
The Greenville College football program will play the 2013 season under new leadership as offensive coordinator Robbie Schomaker has been promoted to interim head coach. Schomaker replaces former head coach Ordell Walker who accrued a career record of 22-9, coached the team to the school's first NCCAA Victory Bowl championship, and guided the football program to UMAC championships in 2010 and 2012.
Men's Track and Field Takes 13th at NCAA National Championships; Gray Produces All-American Awards
The men's track and field season concluded with a 13th place showing at the NCAA Division III national championships. Sophomore Bruce Gray competed Saturday for the Panthers, taking third place in the 100 meter dash before concluding the championships with fourth place in the 200 meter dash.

The men's track and field team obtained their first points of the NCAA Division III championships as junior Josh Kuusisto took fourth place in the hammer throw en route to an All-American finish.

Sophomore sprinter Bruce Gray was second in his heat of the 200 meter dash as he placed fifth overall and advanced to Saturday's finals of the NCAA Division III national track and field championships.
NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships Schedule Announced
The No. 14 ranked Greenville College men's track and field team will be represented by five men in four events who have journeyed to La Crosse, Wis., to compete in the annual NCAA Division III championships. Competition begins Thursday and runs through Saturday.
GC Athletics Claims Overall Sportsmanship Award for 2012-2013
Greenville College was awarded the 2012-13 SLIAC Sportsmanship Award for the second straight year. The Panthers won a SLIAC-best five team Sportsmanship Awards, including awards in women's cross country, women's basketball, men's basketball, women's tennis and baseball.
Panther Track and Field Ranked 14th in USTFCCCA Poll
The Greenville Men's Track and Field team moved to 14th in the latest USTFCCCA poll. This is an improvement from last week, when they were ranked 16th.
