Baseball drops pair to St. Norbert

AUBURNDALE, Fla. -- The baseball team fell short in a pair of games against St. Norbert on Monday. They lost the first game 3-0 and dropped the second game 5-2.

Nick Bifano pitched a complete game in the first game, throwing six innings and giving up three runs on nine hits with three strikeouts.

St. Norbert scored single runs in the third, fourth, and sixth innings.

Max Gabriel picked up two hits.

In the second game, the Panther bats produced 10 hits, but three runs by St. Norbert in the top of the seventh was Greenville's undoing as they lost 5-2.

Mike Hardin and Jesse Getz had three hits, and Hardin scored both Panther runs.

Philip Reedy started the game for Greenville on the mound and gave up one earned run over four innings. He yielded way to Nathan Garbe for two scoreless innings. Jason Collingwood gave up three unearned runs in the top of the seventh.

The Panthers (1-5) play Anderson on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. ET in Auburndale.
