Baseball Falls to Spalding, 10-2

GREENVILLE, Ill.-- The Panthers could not overcome their early deficit to Spalding and lost the Conference game 10-2.

Derek Reckmann pitched four innings for GC. Reckmann faced 29 batters and allowed 10 hits and 8 runs. Cody Hinterscher was on the mound for three innings, faced 11 batters, and did not allow any hits. Brandon Cranford and Jesse Sneed both pitched one inning for GC. Cranford faced 5 batters and allowed 1 hit and Sneed faced 6 batters and allowed a hit and two runs.

Offensively for Greenville, Matt Reinholz hit a double that led to two RBI. Hunter Bryan also had a RBI for Greenville.

This loss moves GC's record to 6-11 (3-5 SLIAC). The team will play Spalding again tomorrow in a double-header at home.
