Baseball opener postponed

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The baseball team's season opening games against Washington - St. Louis and Coe are postponed.

Greenville and Washington are looking at other dates to play these contests as plans to move the games to Birmingham, Ala., were dropped.

It is likely that the contest against Coe will be cancelled.

The Panthers are looking forward to the start of their season after going 24-20 in 2014 and advancing to the championship game of the SLIAC tournament.  The team is scheduled to host Central (Iowa) on Friday and Saturday, March 6-7.
