Christy Dashiell Named Assistant Volleyball Coach

Published: April 13, 2021

GREENVILLE, Ill. Greenville College and head volleyball coach Tom Ackerman have announced the addition of former volleyball standout student-athlete Christy Dashiell as the Lady Panthers' assistant coach.

Christy has been a huge part of our success both as a player and as a coach, said Ackerman. Her rapport with the team is unmatched and her commitment to the program is contagious.

A 2010 graduate of Greenville College, Dashiell competed all four years for the Panthers during her undergraduate work and finished with a degree in communication (public relations). She served as the teams captain for her junior and senior seasons and led Greenville College volleyball to the SLIAC tournament in both respective years.

Dashiell joins the Panthers after a season of unparalleled accomplishments, highlighted by a school record 26-6 finish, an undefeated home record, and a stretch of 18 consecutive match wins.

Greenville ended the 2010 season with a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title and a bid to the NCAA Division III national tournament.

I am thrilled to be part of such a special program and am honored to represent this great group of girls, said Dashiell. I am looking forward to another successful year on and of the court.

Dashiell is from Hunters, Wash., and has lived in the Greenville area for the last four years. Apart from her coaching duties, she will be actively involved in recruiting, team, and college event planning, while pursuing a master of science degree in management from Greenville College.
