Cyndi Oglesby Named Manager of Alumni and Church Relations

Greenville University recently named Cyndi Kay (Smith) Oglesby manager of alumni and church relations.

Cyndi is no stranger to the Greenville University family. She grew up in Greenville, the daughter of Retired President Robert "Ish" and Joanna Smith, and graduated from G.U. in 1985. She then moved to Tennessee, where she taught middle school for 30 years and raised her family.

In 2015, Cyndi returned to her undergraduate alma mater to provide administrative support in three areasalumni, development and international affairs. In her new role, she will focus on building relationships with G.U.s constituents.

"In an amazingly orchestrated turn of events, God brought me back to Greenville," said Cyndi. "I'm so thankful to be home and working with my G.U. family. I look forward to connecting with many G.U. alumni as I embark on this new adventure."

Cyndi will work out of the Watson and Bonnie Tidball Alumni House and Welcome Center. She expects to be on the road, too, meeting alumni and engaging churches at events. Her new responsibilities include planning events and building relationships with all segments of the Universitys alumni population. She will work closely with the Greenville University Alumni Association and also help develop programs that connect current students (future alumni) to philanthropy.

Cyndi has two grown children, Benton and Kayce. Benton is a graduate of Middle Tennessee University and resides with his wife Kristen in the Nashville area. Kayce, a member of the G.U. Class of 2015, teaches third grade in Honduras.
