GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's volleyball team recognized senior defensive specialist Jamie Schollenbruch prior to Friday night's match after she reached the career milestone of 2,000 career digs in Greenville's win versus Spalding on Thursday, Oct. 8.

Over her four-year career, the women's volleyball program has gone 85-32. The team has won the SLIAC regular season championship each of her three previous seasons and is on pace to wrap up a league record sixth consecutive regular season title.

Schollenbruch's journey to 2,000 digs began with 470 in her freshman season, and she improved her total each year with 545 and 652 digs after her sophomore and junior years, respectively.

Kerry Hammer holds the Greenville record for career digs with 2,261. After Friday's match, Schollenbruch had accrued 2,074 digs.

She was the SLIAC defensive player of the year in 2014. She earned honorable mention all-conference honors in 2012 and first team accolades in 2013 and 2014.

In 2012, she was a member of the SLIAC all-tournament team when Greenville was tournament runners-up.

The four-year starting libero also plays on the women's basketball team over the winter months.
