Digital Media Gets Rhealistic

Published: April 13, 2021

The Greenville College Digital Media Department welcomes David Jon Walker of Rhealistic Design to campus on Friday, November 12. Walker's presentation, Life by Design, will give students a first-hand account of what digital media looks like today directly from an entrepreneur and professional in the field.

Walker is the founder and owner of Rhealistic Design in Memphis, TN. After receiving his BFA from Tennessee State University in 2004, Walker started the company to service and provide small businesses and groups with promotional T-shirts and other wearables. In 2006, he expanded the business to include a wide variety of promotional items and began producing graphic design as promotional solutions.

Walker's expertise and experience in the field will provide GC students with a valuable resource. Rhealistic Design, through Walker's endeavors, has been successful at satisfying the design and promotional needs of religious organizations and educational institutions. He will offer students the knowledge of first-hand experience working with both non-profit and for-profit clients across the country. Along with his business endeavors, Walker has taught university design and multimedia classes and is also an active member of the Memphis AIGA professional chapter.

During his visit to campus, Walker will also offer to review student portfolios and give feedback to students interested in joining the digital media field after graduation.

Walker's presentation, Life by Design, is open to the public and begins at 3:30 pm in Snyder 104 on Friday, November 12.
