ELSAH, Ill. – Overcoming a last minute scheduling change due to weather conditions, GC men’s tennis outpaced Central Christian College (KS) 6-3 on the campus of Principia College on Saturday.

Freshman Alex Dowley headlined the Black & Orange notables at the Panther’s weekend match, playing his way to another victory in No. 4 singles action. Dowley has now won six of his last seven singles matches, and has become one of the most consistent competitors on GC squad in the early season.

“Alex has been playing very well all season for us,” commented head coach Brett Brannon. “Though he is just a freshman, his balanced play and abilities are beyond his years and we are all excited about what lies ahead.”

As a unit the club moves to 5-2 on the season and will return to action Monday, March 26 against conference foe Westminster in Fulton, Mo. at 4:30 pm.
