GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The softball team refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Westminster College, recording a 14-2 victory on Saturday in Greenville.

With 14 runs in the first three innings, the Panthers left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A two-run home run by Becca Oldham, a fielder's choice, a two-run double by Tiffany Samsoe, an RBI double by Jessie Finke, a two-run single by Oldham, and an RBI double by Jessica Laubecher during the second inning helped the Panthers put some runs on the board early.

Oldham racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Panthers.

The Panthers answered Westminster College's top inning with four runs of their own in the third. The Panthers scored on an RBI single by Samsoe, an error, and a two-run single by Laubecher.

Greenville now sits with a record of 13-5 (6-0 SLIAC). They return to action Wednesday at Rose-Hulman.
