GREENVILLE, Ill. -- Fans of the Greenville College men's volleyball team will be able to follow the Panthers at the newly revamped websitemcvl.org.

The Panthers bring 17 new students to campus this fall with players from Illinois (7), California (5), Missouri (4), and Puerto Rico (1) on the roster.

Greenville's opening match will occur in St. Louis, Mo., on Saturday, Jan. 16, as they face Fontbonne and Brooklyn in a doubleheader.

The MCVL was formed in the summer of 2014 and was the eighth NCAA men's volleyball conference in NCAA Division III.

The MCVL inaugural season began in January 2015 and included Benedictine University, Carthage College, Dominican University, Fontbonne University, Lakeland College, Loras College, Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), and Mount St. Joseph University.

The MCVL was formed after six institutions (Carthage, Dominican, Fontbonne, Lakeland,MSOE, and Mount St. Joseph)decided to split from the their previous conference affiliation, the Continental Volleyball Conference. Benedictine and Loras were added to the newly formed conference which is based in the Midwest. The MCVL currently features eight schools from five different states (Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin).
