Football Ranked No. 1 in Preseason UMAC Poll

With 58 points and 3 first place votes, Greenville College came out on top in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Preseason Football Coaches' Poll. GC finished 2011 with a 7-3 overall record and a 7-2 UMAC record. The Panthers have 12 returning starters and finished second in the UMAC last year.

Greenville won their final 7 games of the season and averaged 342 running yards per game. Head coach Ordell Walker plans to get back to running the Panther defense this season, which is expected to be impressive this season.
