Football Team Survives Late Rally to Win 41-35 Over Anderson

Watching film of the Greenville College season opener against Augustana, it was tough not to see the holes made by the interior offensive linemen.
Huge, gaping holes left open as the Panthers' offense routinely went to the outside with it's option-based offense in the 28-7 loss to the Vikings.
Noting the ability of linemen like right tackle David Butler to move his opponents at will and leave paths the size of Volkswagens for his running backs, the Greenville coaching staff took notice.
"The holes were there and we just didn't get the ball to the right players," Panthers Head Coach Ordell Walker said. "Part of our game plan was to make sure Anthony got the ball."
And boy, did Anthony get the ball.
Anthony Ambers rushed for a career-best 239 yards and four touchdowns as the Panthers wracked up 354 total yards on the ground and earned the first win of the Ordell Walker era Saturday at Edwardsville High School with a 41-35 win over Anderson.
