GC Baseball Falls to Illinois College, 3-1

JACKSONVILLE, Ill.-- The Greenville College baseball team could not pull out the win and left Illinois College with a 3-1 loss on the road.

Tyler Pilcher, Matt Reinholz, and Ryan Smith each hit a double for GC. Dylan Goldsmith had the RBI for Greenville. Greenville had 33 total hits in the game, 6 more than Illinois College, who finished with 27 hits.

Josh Wagemann , Nick Bifano, and Cody Hinterscher all saw time on the mound. Wagemann faced 27 batters and allowed 5 hits in the 6 innings he pitched. Bifano faced 7 batters and allowed 1 hit, and Hinterscher faced 2 batters and did not allow any hits.

The loss brings GC's record to 4-7 (1-1 SLIAC). The team will return to the field Monday, March 25 as they take on Milikin at home.
