GC Baseball Gets 4-1 Win Against Eureka

EUREKA, Ill.-- The Panthers earned the 4-1 victory against Eureka. Kenny Trager was the offensive spark for Greenville, hitting two doubles and a homer in the game.

Trager got 3 hits in his 4 at bats, recording an RBI and scoring two runs for GC. Dylan Goldsmith, Ryan Smith, and Adam Wallace each earned a RBI and Hunter Bryan hit a double for the Panthers. Greenville had a total of 7 hits to Eureka's 6.

Tyler Pilcher was credited with the win on the mound, facing 27 batters in the 6.1 innings he pitched. Pilcher allowed 5 hits and 1 run. Nick Bifano also got in the game for the Panthers, pitching 1.2 innings, facing 6 batters, and not allowing any hits. Scott Voyles closed the game for GC and got the save. Voyles faced 5 batters and gave up just one hit.

This win brings the team's record to 11-19 (8-11 SLIAC). The Panthers will face Eureka once again tomorrow, April 27, in a doubleheader at Eureka.
