GC Included in Top Midwest College Ranking

GC Included in Top Midwest College RankingGreenville College was ranked among the top Midwest regional colleges in the 2015 edition of the U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges. GC maintained the same spot as last year, ranked 33 on the list of 69 top-tier Midwest regional colleges.

We are called to serve our students well, and it is encouraging to receive this affirmation that we are fulfilling that call, said Vice President for Enrollment, Michael Ritter.Year after year, U.S. News & World Report has given us a high ranking, and we hope that this recognition invites more students and parents to learn about the great things happening at Greenville College.

Since the last report was published in 2013, there have been several developments accomplished across campus to improve students' experiences during and after their time at GC. These developments include:national accreditation of teacher education programs, openingan advising center for undergraduate students,a new degree-completion program in Health Psychologyand renovations to the college'strack and field facility.

The 2015 U.S. News & World ReportBest College rankings gather data from colleges on up to 16 indicators of academic excellence and ranked against peer colleges based on their composite weighted score. These factors include freshman retention, graduation rate, class size, student to faculty ratio and alumni giving rate. Each year, U.S. News & World Report ranks nearly 1,800 schools in several categories including: National Universities, National Liberal Arts Colleges, Regional Universities and Regional Colleges.

Greenville College is a four-year accredited Christian liberal arts school with more than 1,500 undergraduate and graduate students.Founded in 1892 and affiliated with theFree Methodist Church, the college is located in Greenville, Illinois, 45 miles east of St. Louis.
