GC Men's Soccer Ranked Second in Preseason Coaches' Poll

The Panthers fall behind No. 1 ranked Fontbonne University to claim the No. 2 spot in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Pre-Season Coaches' Poll.

Greenville finished the poll with two first place votes and 54 total points, closely following Fontbonne, who finished with two first place votes and 58 total points to claim the top spot. Defending SLIAC regular season champions, Westminster, who went 7-0-1 last season, received four first place votes but only received 50 total points to finish third in the poll. GC is the defending tournament champion and will be sure to give their all to repeat that feat this season.

The Panthers finished third in the regular season in 2011, with a SLIAC record of 6-2-0. The team is under new leadership this year as Coach Bobby McColl will take over the team. The GC men are ready to continue their success from last season and prove that they are a force to be reckoned with in the conference.
