LINCOLN, Neb. --The efforts of junior sprinter Bruce Gray were rewarded Saturday as his results in the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes led the No. 19 Greenville Panthers to 13th at the NCAA Division III national indoor championships at the University of Nebraska.

Gray's first event of the day saw him place fourth with a time of 6.802 seconds in the finals of the 60-meter dash. Thurgood Dennis of Wisconsin-Eau Claire was the winner in 6.68 seconds. Gray's second place mark gave Greenville five points as he was an All-American.

Gray's second event of the day was the most fruitful. He ran 21.501 seconds to place second to Dennis's 21.27 race. Gray took eight points with the performance.

Overall, Gray earned 13 points for Greenville which allowed them to better their pre-event ranking by six positions.
