GC Celebrates Launch of The Briner School of Business

Greenville College will host a series of events in celebration of the expansion of its Department of Business Management into the Briner School of Business. The College will host a series of founding events on Tuesday, November 3 and Wednesday, November 4, 2015.

The Briner School of Business launch will begin on Nov. 3 at 4:00 p.m. with a time of celebration followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony at the west entrance of Dietzman Center at 5:00 p.m. On Nov. 4, The Briner School of Business will host a series of Faith and Work seminars in Dietzman 102 at 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and a final seminar at 7:00 pm. in LaDue Auditorium. Faith & Work Seminar speakers include: Tournament Director at Big Cedar Lodge Legends (presented by Bass Pro Shops), Kirk Elmquist; Journalist and Author, Terry Mattingly; and owner of Kinder Brothers International and Founder of Roaring Lambs Ministries, Garry Kinder. Additionally, there will be a special Briner School of Business chapel at 9:30 a.m. in Whitlock Music Center with Senior Gift Advisor for the National Christian Foundation in California, Robert Fry, Jr. These events are free and open to the public.

GC Celebrates Launch of The Briner School of BusinessThe Briner School of Business, named after alumnus Bob Briner 56, draws inspiration from Briners belief that following Christ holds relevant solutions for every business challenge. Faith fueled Briners pioneering work in sports management and as Sports Emmy Award-winning producer and continues to fuel students who study his approach as part of GCs business management curriculum. The Briner School of Business currently offers two graduate and five undergraduate programs. Graduate programs include a Master of Science in Management and a Master of Business Administration with tracks in General Management, Human Resource Management and Non-Profit management. Undergraduate programs include an adult undergraduate degree in Business Administration and traditional undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Business Management, Marketing, Music Business and Sport Management.
