Greenville College Launches Health Psychology Degree Completion Program

Published: April 13, 2021

Greenville College is pleased to announce the launch of its Bachelor of Science in health psychology degree during the fall of 2014. The program offers online courses, allowing adult learners to complete their bachelors degree while also balancing other responsibilities.

The goal of the health psychology program is to prepare students for health service professions through an exploration of how multiple psychological and behavioral factors influence health at individual, family, and organizational levels, said Dr. Susan Hughey-Rasler, psychology department chair at Greenville College.

Health psychology is the second online bachelors degree completion program offered by Greenville College. Similar to the schools organizational leadership program, the format caters to working adults with prior college credit who wish to accelerate their college education. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (2014), there is a projected growth of employment opportunities between 15 and 27 percent from 2012 to 2022 for graduates with health psychology degrees. Greenville College continues to expand its programs to help students expand their professional options and opportunities.
