Greenville College Launches MBA Program

On August 26, 2013, Greenville College launched its online Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Designed to equip professionals with knowledge and skills in areas of management, accounting, economics, finance, strategy and marketing, the program readies professionals to advance in an ever-changing business environment.

“The goal of the online MBA program at Greenville College is to align critical thinking and practical application to develop accomplished managers with a clear perspective of how to strategically position and lead an organization,” said Dr. Ron Cook, Director of Graduate Management Programs.

The online format of the degree affords working professionals the flexibility to pursue their degree while remaining fully engaged in their careers. During the 28-month program, students gain theoretical and practical knowledge through class discussions, collaboration with fellow students and leaders, and implementing strategic projects in their organizations.

Designed to prepare students with the technical skills needed in business administration, the Greenville College MBA degree integrates biblical principles into its courses- challenging students to approach their academic and professional work from a Christian perspective.

The MBA program is the school’s ninth active master’s degree and the second master’s degree offered by the management department. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, obtaining a master’s degree increases ones earning potential by nearly 20 percent, and it reduces the likelihood of unemployment. Greenville College continues to develop new programs to help working adults reach their professional and personal goals.

Greenville College is a four-year accredited Christian liberal arts school with more than 1,500 undergraduate and graduate students. Founded in 1892 and affiliated with the Free Methodist Church, the college is located in Greenville, Illinois, 45 miles east of St. Louis.
