GC Welcomes 2015 Mannoia Lecturer to Campus, Reverend Dr. Priscilla Pope-LevisonGreenville College is honored to welcome the 2015 Mannoia Lecture speaker, Reverend Dr. Priscilla Pope-Levison onto campus Wednesday, April 8. She will present a chapel address at 9:30 a.m. in the Wilson Recital Hall of Whitlock Music Center and a colloquium at 3:30 p.m. in Snyder 104. Her colloquium, Holiness in Black and White: Women, Race and Sanctification, will take place in Snyder 104 at 3:30 p.m. There will be a pizza party following the colloquium with Rev. Dr. Pope-Levinson.

Rev. Dr. Priscilla Pope-Levison is Professor of Theology and Assistant Director of WomensStudies at Seattle Paciic University and Affiliate Faculty in Gender, Women ad Sexuality Studies at the University of Washington. Her latest book, Building the Old Time Religion: Women Evangelists in the Progressive Era (NYU Press, 2014) received the Smith/Wynkoop Book Award by the Wesleyan Theological Society and was listed as an Outstanding Academic Title for 2014 by Choice journal.

The Annual Mannoia Lecture is presented in honor of V. James and Florence Mannoia and organized by the Philosophy and Religion Department at Greenville College. These events are free and open to the public.
