Greenville Religion and Science Society Welcomes Ben Lowe - April 15Ben Lowe will present at Greenville College onApril 15, hosted by the Greenville Religion and Science Society. Lowe is currently on staff with theEvangelical Environmental Network (EEN)as a spokesperson forYoung Evangelicals for Climate Action. He also holds a chair for the Board ofAu Sable Institute of Environmental Studies. He will present a colloquium at4:30 p.m.in Snyder 104.

His presentation is titled Christians and the Climate Crisis.

Lowes family moved to the United States from Singapore when he was sixteen. He finished high school in Massachusetts and then moved to South Florida with his grandmother, where he worked at Chick-fil-A to save money for college.

Lowe is a graduate of Wheaton College in Illinois with a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Biology. Since graduating, he has published two books, Green Revolution came out in 2009 and Doing Good Without Giving Up was published in 2014. His next book, co-authored with Ron Sider will be published in early 2016.Lowe has also dedicated works to Relevant Magazine, Christianity Today, and Evangelicals for Social Action/PRISM Magazine.

Lowess lecture is presented by theGreenville Religion and Science Society, a local faith and science initiative of Greenville College intended to serve the college and surrounding community by providing opportunities for engagement with issues related to Christian faith and science through lectures, films, readings and discussion groups. All society events are open to the public with local clergy and laity especially encouraged to attend.
