Greenville University Well Water Testing

The Greenville University Science Division is running a well-water water testing project.  It will involve faculty and student researchers testing water samples for the presence of specific metals, microbes, and other drinking water contaminants.  The project will be a valuable science and educational experience for students while providing important water quality information to well owners.

Two kick-off meetings are scheduled where well-owners will receive information about the kinds of contaminants analyzed, how to collect water samples, and a sampling kit.  After collection, well owners will drop samples off on the specified collection dates.  Once analysis is complete the results will be mailed to well owners and an interpretation meeting will be held to explain results.

ALL PARTICIPANT INFORMATION IS KEPT STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL.

COST FOR THE TESTING IS $20 PER SAMPLE KIT.

KICK-OFF Meeting Schedule:  Meetings are held in room 104 of the Snyder Science Hall.

  • Wednesday March 7, from 7:00-7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 10, from 11:00-11:30 a.m.

Collection Dates:

  • Saturday, March 24 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
