Lady Panther Soccer Brings Home Important 1-0 Win Over Westminster

Published: April 13, 2021

FULTON, Mo.-- The Greenville College women's team took on the Westminster College Blue Jays and came away with a 1-0 road win on an early goal by Kelsey Panzau.

Panzau's goal came off a free kick attempt by Mo Murphy. Murphy drove the ball into the Westminster 'keeper, who bobbled it and allowed for Panzau to place it in the back of the net. This goal, in the 6th minute of the game, would prove to be the game-winner as GC captured the 1-0 win.

Goalkeeper, Heidi Koehl, was credited with the shut-out victory. Greenville outshot Westminster 12 to 3 in the game.

The win brings the Panthers to a 7-9 (6-1 SLIAC) record and continues the team's 5 game win-streak. The women will take the field again on Tuesday, October 29 at 7:00pm. The home game is Greenville's senior night and eight Lady Panthers will be recognized for their time and effort put in to the GC soccer program.
