Published: April 13, 2021

ELSAH, Ill.-- The GC Womens Tennis team brought home a 6-3 victory on Saturday when they took on Stephens College on the road at Principia. The team clinched three singles and two doubles matches after Stephens was forced to default two matches with only five of their players healthy.

In singles play, Lexi Baysinger, Kristin Minshall, and Kat Kennedy each scored a win for Greenville. Baysinger took down her #3 opponent 6-4, 6-3. Minshall was able to sweep her #4 match, 6-0, 6-0. Kennedy came away with the 6-1, 6-0 victory at the #5 spot. Stephens was forced to default the last singles match because they did not have a #6 spot player.

In doubles play, the duo of Lynch and Baysinger captured the impressive 8-0 win in the #2 spot. Again Stephens had to default in the #3 doubles match.

This win moves the teams record to 7-7 (4-2 SLIAC). They will play again on Monday, April 15 when they take on Missouri Baptist on the road.
